Prescription category medicine HydroDIURIL is prepared using active
pharmaceutical ingredient called Hydrochlorothiazide. Besides
various branded medicines, the generic Hydrochlorothiazide is also
being produced by many pharmaceutical companies across the world. It
is approved for treating fluid retention and high blood pressure/
hypertension ailments in the adults only. HydroDIURIL is from the
diuretic drug class and works by increasing salt and water
quantities that kidneys discharge from the blood which leads to
decrease in blood level. The drug is also referred as HCTZ or HTC by
many medical professionals.
Diagnosed on the basis of specific medical tests, doctor determines
to prescribe Hydrochlorothiazide or HydroDIURIL pills also known as
‘water pills’ for treating the hypertension disorders. The drug
works by improving the levels of salt and water that kidneys
discharge from the blood. Such extra amount of salt and water are
passed out of the body through urination. The reduction in blood
level is caused following the raised level of water eliminated from
the blood. This action helps minimizing the blood pressure and
control water retention. It has been reported that during the
clinical studies in people taking Hydrochlorothiazide –HydroDIURIL,
both systolic and diastolic blood pressure decreased remarkably.

This oral medicine is recommended to be taken once or twice daily
with or without food. Pill should be ingested same time daily for
uniformly maintaining medication level in the blood. However, the
patients taking it for regulating fluid retention are not required
taking daily.
